Rebin Interface Transport Mark Bridgeman The Rebin Interface Transport is a commonly seen people and cargo mover carrying passengers and goods either in or out of the Rebin Empire, and is simply nothing more than a basic cargo hauler. As in all Rebin designs crew and passenger accommodations tends towards the luxurious (Imperial high passage equivalent). Staterooms however only tend to be occupied by important Rebin officials and their aides. The common folk who have permission to travel generally do so as low passengers. Though Rebin low passage is considered much safer than anything commonly used within Imperial Space. Costs for the designs, are estimated in Imperial Credits, as the Rebin Empire does not have an internal currency. Despite this Rebin designs are expected to make maximum usage of their onboard space in order to fulfil design objectives/criteria. Hence a mercantile design is still expected to devote as much space as possible to cargo and passengers and be economically effective when trading beyond the empire. Should these vessels ever be expected to travel into dangerous areas such as war zones and pirate/raider-infested areas, they are normally escorted by Rebin Escorts. Built on a streamlined close structured hull with minimal Jump and manoeuvre performance without any associated offensive or defensive weaponry serves to relegate this design to low priority cargos and mail deliveries at best. It is notable that this design is not seen moving goods etc between Rebin member worlds, hence the title given to it of interface transport, as freight moving between such worlds is the exclusive domain of the gigantic guild carriers. The ship does come with fuel scoops and purification machinery however, and accommodations aboard are luxurious, also the low berths are not cryogenic as in the Imperium but are sealed units containing a bed designed to massage and manipulate the skeleton and musculature of the occupant whilst he or she is kept sedated and drip fed fast drug and vital nutrients that slow down the users metabolism by a factor of 60 to 1 whilst the massaging action of the bed ensures that muscles do not weaken considerably whilst passage is undertaken. This form of low passage is a lot safer than the cryogenic alternative common in imperial space. Passengers spending the week in 'fast sleep' simply feel as if about 8 or 9 hours have passed.
